Japan Athletic Federation Third Class Competition Badge in Original Box - A Japanese copper athletic badge featuring a profile portrait of a male figure wearing a laurel wreath. The obverse is bordered by embossed Japanese characters including Third Class (第三級) at the top and Japan Athletic Federation (日本體育聯盟) along the lower edge, with the character 庚 positioned to the right of the central figure. The item is constructed from copper and features a flat reverse with a soldered safety-pin style attachment mechanism. The badge is housed in its original rectangular white paper-covered presentation box. The box lid features black printed characters reading Japan Athletic Federation (日本體育聯盟) and Third Class Competition Badge (第三級競技章). A small rectangular adhesive label with faded blue-green markings is present on the box lid, along with a handwritten numeral 3. An inventory sticker is present on a separate card reading HR657 Copper. Diameter: 20 mm. The badge displays an aged patina with significant surface oxidation and darkening consistent with antique copper (photo 1). The soldered pin on the reverse shows heavy oxidation and surface wear (photo 2). The presentation box exhibits typical signs of age, including overall yellowing of the paper, minor surface abrasions, and edge wear to the lid and base (photo 3).
