Antique Sterling Silver and Turquoise Adjustable Bypass Ring - This antique sterling silver ring features an adjustable bypass design. The center of the shank is set with a single, round turquoise cabochon showing a natural brown and tan matrix. The stone is secured in a bezel setting integrated into an ornate, scrolled foliate-design shank. The metal is sterling silver, though it displays a yellowish hue in several areas. The inner shank bears an impressed mark that is not clearly legible as a name or standard fineness mark due to surface wear. The ring is constructed with an open, adjustable back. Width: 19 mm across the widest point Weight: 3.0 g. The ring is in antique condition with signs of age and use. There is significant surface wear and oxidation visible on the silver throughout the shank (photo 1). A yellowish base color is visible beneath the surface in recessed areas of the foliate design and around the bezel (photo 2). Dark residue and tarnish are present around the base of the stone setting (photo 3). The turquoise cabochon remains secure but shows surface dullness consistent with its age (photo 1).
