Two Antique Sterling Silver and Silver Tone Heart Shaped Lockets - A pair of antique heart-shaped locket pendants. The first locket is crafted from sterling silver and features an engraved front with the word Grandma in cursive script. The design is bordered by a zig-zag pattern and accented with four small floral motifs in pink and green enameling. The reverse is polished and bears an impressed mark at the bottom reading .925 TK. It is fitted with a fixed circular loop and a fluted bail. The interior contains a heart-shaped portrait photograph of two individuals. The second locket is a silver-tone metal pendant featuring an overall engraved foliate pattern on a textured background. The reverse is plain and unadorned. It is fitted with a hinged top and a wide, tapered bail. The interior is empty and displays textured metal surfaces. Both pieces function with side hinges and top bails for suspension. Height of Grandma locket (excluding bail): 3/4 inch Height of foliate locket (excluding bail): 3/4 inch Total weight: 6.700 grams (0.2154 ozt). Both antique lockets exhibit characteristics consistent with their age. The sterling silver Grandma locket shows light surface scratches and minor tarnish across the front and back (photo 1, 2, and 6). The interior shows some oxidation around the photo frame (photo 3). The second foliate locket displays significant tarnish and darkening on the interior surfaces and along the outer edges (photo 3). Both hinges and bails appear intact and functional.
