Pair of Antique Sterling Silver and Oval Cabochon Garnet Dangle Earrings - A matched pair of antique dangle earrings featuring bezel-set oval cabochon gemstones. The gemstones are a deep, translucent reddish-purple color and measure approximately 8mm by 6mm each. The settings are constructed from sterling silver and feature a small decorative bead at the base of the ear wires. The earrings are designed for pierced ears with long, curved shepherd's hook wires and include translucent silicone safety stoppers. The reverse of each earring setting is impressed with the numbers 925 and the letters TH. Weight: 2.004 grams Length: approximately 1 inch. The earrings are in good antique condition. There is visible surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with age on the reverse of the settings (photo 3) and along the ear wires (photo 4). The gemstones are secure in their bezel settings with no chips or cracks visible on the polished surfaces (photo 1).
