Antique Artisan Mixed Metal Sunburst Pendant on Sterling Silver Box Chain - An antique mixed metal sunburst pendant featuring a circular design with radiating rods of varying lengths. The central hub is constructed with a woven basket-weave pattern secured by wire wrapping. The pendant is composed of multi-tone base metals in copper and brass tones with silver-toned wire accents. It is suspended from a sterling silver box chain. The chain is equipped with a spring ring clasp. The clasp bears an impressed mark reading 925. Diameter: 3.25 inches Chain Length: 18 inches. The necklace shows characteristics consistent with its antique age. There is significant oxidation and tarnish present on the sterling silver chain and clasp (photo 4). The mixed metal pendant exhibits a natural darkened patina and surface grime across the radiating rods and central weaving (photo 2). The wire-wrapped construction remains intact, and the minor irregularities in the alignment of the radiating rods appear to be a feature of the handcrafted assembly (photo 3).
