Antique 1950 Catholic Holy Year Jubilee Chi-Rho Commemorative Pin Riunite Casalmaggiore - This antique religious commemorative pin is crafted from white metal, likely silver-plated brass or a low-grade silver alloy. The circular, openwork design features a central Chi-Rho monogram, an early Christian symbol for Christ. The obverse rim is stamped with the Latin inscription ANNO JVBILAEI MCML, which translates to Jubilee Year 1950, and includes a small cross symbol. The reverse rim bears the impressed manufacturer information RIUNITE CASALMAGGIORE, identifying its origin in the historic jewelry production district of Casalmaggiore, Italy. The bottom reverse rim is stamped DEP. C. C. A. S. M., indicating a registered or patented design. The pin is constructed with a simple C-clasp hinge and a hand-bent pin stem. A small, illegible rectangular mark is visible on the clasp. Diameter: 1.7 cm. The antique pin exhibits signs of age and handling consistent with its period. There is significant oxidation and tarnish across both the obverse and reverse surfaces (photo 1, 2). Yellowish-brown spotting is visible on the front and back, suggesting wear to the plated finish (photo 1, 3). The pin stem is significantly bent out of its original shape (photo 2, 3). The hinge and clasp remain functional despite visible surface wear. The stamped lettering remains legible throughout (photo 1, 4).
