A Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Black and White Gemstone Square Double Halo Stud Earrings - A matched pair of antique square-form stud earrings. Each earring features a central square cluster of pavé-set black gemstones, possibly black diamonds or spinel. This central cluster is framed by two concentric halos: the inner halo is set with clear/white gemstones, while the outer halo features matching dark-toned gemstones. The earring faces have a dark rhodium-plated finish to enhance the stones, while the remaining structure is polished white metal. The earrings are constructed from sterling silver and feature post and butterfly (friction) backings. The reverse of each earring post and the main body bear a stamped hallmark consisting of the numbers 925, indicating a silver purity of 92.5%. Both butterfly backs also bear a matching 925 hallmark. Weight: 0.068 ozt Width: 3/8 inch. This pair of antique earrings is in good condition. All gemstones appear to be present and secure in their settings. Minor surface tarnish is visible on the reverse silver settings and the butterfly backings (photo 3), which is characteristic of antique sterling silver. The posts and butterfly backings are intact and functional.
