United States Seventh Army Sterling Silver Military Signet Ring with Red Stone - A United States military commemorative signet ring crafted in sterling silver. The face of the ring features an oval bezel-set faceted synthetic red stone. The surrounding bezel is embossed with the text UNITED STATES SEVENTH ARMY. Each shank is decorated in relief with a molded American eagle with outstretched wings positioned above a triangular insignia. The interior of the band features an impressed mark reading STERLING SILVER. The band shows a visible vertical join at the reverse, indicating a prior resizing. Size: 8.5 US Weight: 0.475 ozt Width: 19 mm across the face. This antique ring exhibits heavy wear across all surfaces. The silver shows significant oxidation and tarnish throughout. The central red stone has numerous scratches, surface abrasions, and small chips (flea bites) concentrated along the facet junctions (Photos 1, 2, and 3). The relief-molded details of the eagles and the lettering on the bezel show surface smoothing and softening from age and use (Photos 1 and 3). A vertical seam is visible on the exterior of the shank where the ring was previously sized (Photo 5).
