Antique Sterling Silver Figural Dual Carp Cocktail Ring - A large figural cocktail ring cast in sterling silver. The design features a high-relief, wrap-around composition depicting two intertwined fish, likely carp or koi, with textured scales and flowing fins. The band is a wide, tapered style that integrates into the figural head. The interior of the band is stamped with a rectangular mark containing three incised Chinese characters; due to surface texture and age, the characters are not clearly legible as a specific name. A smaller, stylized secondary mark resembling a butterfly or leaf is visible immediately below the main rectangular cartouche. Ring size: US 8 Width: 18 mm at the widest point. The ring is in antique condition with heavy surface wear consistent with age. There is significant pitting and micro-cratering visible across the entire exterior surface (photo 1 and 2). Deep oxidation and dark patina are present in the recessed areas of the scales and fins (photo 3). A distinct vertical seam line is visible on the reverse of the band, likely from the original casting or a historical resizing (photo 4). The internal hallmarks show wear and partial obscuring from the surrounding metal texture (photo 5).
