Van Dell 1/20 12K Gold Filled Link Bracelet with Cat Eye Cabochons and Faux Pearls - This antique multi-strand link bracelet is crafted from gold-filled metal. The design features seven oval cabochon stones, each displaying a central vertical chatoyant band characteristic of cat's eye glass. Arranged in pairs between each cabochon setting are fourteen small, round, white simulated pearls. The bracelet is secured with a fold-over clasp. The back of the clasp bears an impressed maker's mark consisting of the name Van Dell in a stylized script. Below the name are the impressed characters 1/20 12K G.F., indicating the gold content and construction method. Length: 7 1/2 inches. The bracelet shows signs of age appropriate for an antique piece. There is visible tarnish and green oxidation (verdigris) on the metal links and connector rings (photo 1). Surface wear and minor scratches are present on the metal settings and the cat's eye cabochons (photo 2). The simulated pearls exhibit minor surface wear to the nacre. The fold-over clasp is functional but displays surface tarnish and wear to the gold-filled finish (photo 3).
