Italian Sterling Silver Millefiori Glass Tree Pendant on Box Link Chain - A sterling silver necklace featuring a circular millefiori glass mosaic pendant. The Italian pendant depicts a stylized tree with a red trunk and multi-colored floral-patterned canes for foliage, set against a black ground above a green field. The pendant is housed in a silver-tone frame and suspended from a box link chain. The front of the pendant bail is impressed with a monogram consisting of a C over an M. The reverse of the bail features an oval stamp reading 925 and a small rectangular hallmark containing a star and illegible alphanumeric characters. The box chain is fitted with a spring ring clasp stamped 925. An oval metal tag attached to the chain is stamped ITALY on one side and 925 on the reverse. Chain total drop length: 9 1/2 inches Pendant diameter: 1 inch. The antique item is in good condition. The millefiori glass mosaic is intact with no visible chips or cracks (photo 2). The sterling silver components exhibit visible tarnish and oxidation, particularly on the bail and the reverse of the pendant frame (photo 4). The spring ring clasp is in functional condition.
