Two Pairs of Sterling Silver Gemstone Cluster Earrings - This lot features two pairs of antique sterling silver earrings. The first pair consists of dangle drop earrings, each designed with a floral spray surmount set with three marquise-cut light blue stones, leading to five suspended round-cut light blue stones. These stones are visually consistent with aquamarine or blue topaz. The earrings are constructed with French wire hooks and include translucent plastic stabilizers. The back of one dangle earring is stamped with an impressed 925 mark indicating sterling silver purity. The second pair comprises floral cluster stud earrings, each set with three marquise-cut green stones and three round-cut red stones, visually consistent with emeralds and rubies. These earrings feature post backings with butterfly clutches. Length of dangle earrings: 1 5/8 inches Length of stud earrings: 1/2 inch. Both pairs of antique earrings exhibit surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age throughout the silver settings (photo 1). All gemstones appear present and secure in their mountings (photo 3). One butterfly clutch on the stud earrings appears to be a different style from its counterpart, indicating a likely replacement (photo 5). There are no visible breaks or losses to the metalwork.
