Antique Carved Honey Chalcedony and Colorless Stone Vermeil Sterling Silver Ring - This antique cocktail ring is crafted from gold-plated 925 sterling silver, also known as vermeil. The centerpiece features an oval honey-colored chalcedony gemstone with a translucent yellow-orange hue. The crown of the stone is intricately carved with a central floral or sunburst motif and is secured in a four-prong basket setting. The shoulders of the ring are accented with five round-cut colorless stones on each side, ten in total, which are held in channel settings. The interior of the shank is stamped with a literal impressed mark reading 925 TGGC. The ring face measures approximately 10 mm across at the widest point. Size: 6.5 Weight: 0.076 ozt. This antique ring shows signs of moderate wear and age consistent with its history. There is visible loss to the gold plating on the prongs and around the basket setting, exposing the silver beneath (photo 1). The shank exhibits some surface pitting and discoloration (photo 3). The carved center gemstone remains intact with no visible chips or fractures (photo 2).
