Antique Artisan Brass Wire Work and Iridescent Bead Collar Necklace with Lapis Lazuli Pendant - This antique artisan collar necklace features an intricate bib-style design executed in brass-tone wire. The necklace is constructed from hand-twisted wire links interspersed with small iridescent cylindrical glass bugle beads and round spacer beads. The central bib section consists of multiple cascading strands of bugle beads connected by scrolled wire-work. At the center is a teardrop-shaped blue cabochon, measuring approximately 2 cm in length. Below the stone is a fringed tassel pendant featuring wire coils, iridescent beads, and hammered metal dangles. The necklace terminates in a hand-formed hook and eye clasp with an adjustable series of jump rings. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible on the metal components. Total length: 21.5 inches Central bib and pendant length: 4.25 inches. The necklace is in good antique condition. There is surface oxidation and darkening across the brass-tone metal components, consistent with age (photo 1). One of the wire dangles on the lower right of the pendant fringe is slightly bent (photo 3). The iridescent beads and central cabochon appear intact with no visible chips or cracks. The hook clasp is functional (photo 4).
