Antique 14K White Gold Filigree Cameo Cocktail Ring - This antique ring is crafted from solid 14 karat white gold and features an octagonal-cut shell cameo centerpiece. The hand-carved cameo depicts the profile of a woman with upswept hair, adorned with a necklace and a floral detail on her shoulder. The carved figure is rendered in a creamy white tone against a carnelian-orange background, a natural characteristic of the shell material. The cameo is bezel-set within a decorative frame with milgrain edging, mounted atop an elaborate openwork filigree gallery. The shoulders and shank of the ring are further detailed with intricate pierced filigree and scrolling foliate motifs. A natural, dark inclusion is visible on the reverse side of the shell. While no hallmarks are visible in the provided views, the metal is confirmed as solid 14 karat gold. Size: 5.25. This antique ring is in good condition consistent with its age. There is minor surface wear and light oxidation to the white gold filigree (Photo 2 and Photo 4). The carved shell cameo displays some accumulated surface residue in the recessed areas of the carving, particularly within the hair and near the profile (Photo 5). A natural dark inclusion is present on the back of the shell (Photo 3). The filigree setting remains intact with no visible breaks or repairs.
