Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Four Pairs

An Assortment of Four Pairs of Sterling Silver and Semi-Precious Gemstone Dangle Earrings - A collection of four matched pairs of dangle earrings crafted from silver-tone metal with various semi-precious gemstones. The group includes one pair of tiered chandelier earrings featuring purple composite turquoise, likely stabilized and dyed with a metallic matrix. These earrings are constructed with pear-shaped, oval, and teardrop cabochons set within rope-twist and sphere-accented borders, finished with post-and-nut butterfly backs. A second pair features cushion-cut green stones with a prominent brown matrix, held in four-prong settings with lever-back closures. The third pair consists of faceted cushion-cut blue-violet gemstones, possibly tanzanite or iolite, suspended from ribbon-style bales with lever-back findings. The final pair features oval sunstone cabochons displaying internal aventurescence, each topped with a small, faceted brown secondary stone and secured with lever-back closures. While the metal appears to be sterling silver, no legible fineness marks or maker signatures are visible in the provided images. Length of purple earrings: 2 1/4 inches Length of shortest pair: 1 inch. This antique collection is in good condition overall. The purple tiered earrings and the green matrix stone earrings exhibit minor surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age to the silver-tone settings (photo 1). All gemstones appear secure in their respective prong and bezel settings with no visible chips or cracks. The lever-back and post closures are intact and functional.
