Antique Carved Chocolate Brown Bakelite Art Deco Bar Brooch - An antique bar brooch crafted from deep chocolate brown Bakelite. The piece features an Art Deco-influenced geometric design characterized by three tiered, overlapping sections with deep, parallel diagonal notches carved along the outer edges, suggesting a stylized leaf or feather motif. The reverse of the brooch is flat and polished, fitted with a base metal pin mechanism. The hardware consists of a pin stem with a slight curve and a rollover safety C-clasp. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or labels on the Bakelite body or the metal components. Length: 2 5/8 inches. The brooch is in good antique condition. Minor surface scratches and tiny nicks consistent with age and use are visible on the reverse (photo 4). Small amounts of surface residue are present near the hinge of the pin mechanism (photo 4). The safety clasp is intact and functional.
