Antique Sterling Silver and Natural Ruby Cabochon Toggle Bracelet - This antique link bracelet features six oval cabochon gemstones, identified as natural rubies. Each gemstone is set within a scalloped bezel mounting. The rubies display a deep pinkish-red hue with characteristic natural inclusions and surface-reaching fractures visible to the naked eye. The bracelet is constructed from silver-tone metal and secured with a toggle clasp featuring an extender chain of three circular links. The reverse of one bezel setting features two impressed marks: a numeric mark reading 925 and a maker's mark consisting of the letters STS. Length: 7 1/2 inches. The sterling silver shows a natural dark patina and tarnish throughout the metalwork, particularly visible in the recessed areas of the scalloped bezels and on the reverse side (photo 3). The natural ruby gemstones exhibit heavy internal inclusions and surface-reaching fractures typical of antique material (photo 1). One stone displays a more prominent internal fracture line (photo 2). The toggle clasp and extender links remain in functional condition.
