A Collection of F and B Victorian Era Bar Pins and a Contemporary Zig-Zag Earring - This collection features two antique yellow metal bar pins connected by a fine link chain and a single contemporary yellow metal zig-zag earring. The bar pins are constructed with a brushed surface finish and decorated with a floral motif in black and green. The reverse of one pin is stamped with the characters F & B, identifying the maker as Foster and Bailey. Both pins utilize a traditional C-clasp mechanism and are joined by a 4-inch fine link safety chain. The single earring features a modern zig-zag drop design suspended from a wire hook. These items appear to be composed of gold-filled or base metal as no purity hallmarks are present. The bar pins each measure approximately 1 inch in length. The safety chain measures 4 inches in length. The earring measures approximately 1.25 inches in total length. This antique set shows signs of age and use consistent with its period. The bar pins exhibit surface wear and patina throughout, with some loss to the decorative floral motif visible in detail photographs (photos 1 and 2). The pin mechanisms are functional. The contemporary zig-zag earring is in good condition with no visible defects (photo 1).
