Antique Thai Sterling Silver Teardrop Cabochon Pendant - This antique teardrop-shaped pendant features a large, high-domed cabochon gemstone set within an ornate openwork frame. The stone is a mottled green color with significant dark brown and black inclusions and exhibits a natural, textured surface with a low-luster finish. The gemstone is held in a beaded bezel setting, surrounded by an outer frame of scrolling silver filigree. The pendant is fitted with a decorative bail featuring a repeated circular motif. On the reverse side of the inner frame, there are impressed marks consisting of the numerals 925 followed by the characters CFJ THAI. Length: 2.5 inches Width: 1.75 inches. This antique pendant is in good condition. The sterling silver components exhibit a heavy, natural dark patina and tarnish throughout the recessed areas of the scrollwork and across the reverse side (photos 4, 5, and 6). The central cabochon shows natural surface pitting and irregular textures inherent to the stone (photos 2 and 3). The bail and setting are intact and secure.
