Bidspirit auction | Two Antique Sterling Silver Southwestern

Two Antique Sterling Silver Southwestern Style Rings with Rose Quartz and Turquoise - A pair of antique sterling silver cocktail rings in the Southwestern tradition, each featuring a large marquise-cut stone and turquoise accents. One ring is centered with a pale pink to lavender translucent cabochon, possibly rose quartz, secured in a serrated bezel and bordered by twisted rope wire. The shoulder is embellished with a stamped silver leaf motif and a small, round, green-toned turquoise cabochon showing natural matrix. The second ring features a similar translucent stone in a smooth bezel, flanked by a curvilinear silver wire tendril and a stamped leaf. This ring is accented with a bright robin’s egg blue turquoise cabochon. Both pieces are constructed with split-shank silver bands. The reverse of the ring faces shows hand-soldered joins and textured metal surfaces. No hallmarks, maker’s names, or purity stamps are visible on either piece. Ring sizes: 4.25 and 6.5 Length of ring face: approximately 1 inch. These antique rings show character appropriate for their age. There is visible tarnish and oxidation in the recessed areas of the silver work and bezel settings (photo 1). The larger ring’s turquoise stone shows some natural surface pitting and wear (photo 1, left). The shanks show slight irregularities in shape consistent with long-term wear (photos 4 and 5). No cracks or chips to the primary translucent stones are visible.
