A Pair of Antique Sterling Silver and Lapis Lazuli Modernist Drop Earrings - A matched pair of antique sterling silver drop earrings. Each earring is designed with a flared, spade-shaped body featuring curved edges and a textured, matte surface. Centered on each piece is an oval lapis lazuli cabochon, set within a raised bezel. The stones display a deep blue hue with characteristic natural inclusions. The earrings are suspended from integrated long wire French hooks. On the reverse of each earring, there is an impressed mark consisting of the numerals 925 above a capital letter M, which has a small vertical stroke or cross element on its right side. Width: 3/4 of an inch at the widest point Length: 1 1/8 inches from the top of the hook to the bottom edge. The earrings are in good antique condition. There is significant surface tarnish and oxidation across the silver bodies (photo 1). Some slight bending is visible in the long ear wires (photo 2). The lapis lazuli stones are secure within their bezel settings with no visible chips or cracks.
