A Pair of New Haven 2002 O Gauge Diesel Locomotives - A pair of O gauge model diesel locomotive units, comprising one powered A-unit (cab unit) and one non-powered B-unit (booster unit). The locomotives feature molded plastic bodies finished in the New Haven Railroad McGinnis livery, characterized by horizontal bands of black, orange, and white. The sides of both units are printed with a white NH logo. The orange band on the A-unit features the printed white text NEW HAVEN. Both units are numbered 2002 in white on the rear flanks. The A-unit is constructed with a stamped metal base and features a visible motor and gear assembly on the front truck with a three-rail center pickup. The B-unit is a dummy unit with plastic and metal chassis components. Both units feature simulated vents, roof fans, and side window detailing molded into the plastic. , Both units show significant surface dust and grime accumulation across the shells and undercarriages (all photos). The A-unit shows visible paint wear and thinning, particularly on the white and orange bands near the nose and along the lower edges (photo 1). The metal screw on the front nose shows surface oxidation (photo 5), and the internal window glazing is missing. The A-unit is missing its front coupler. The B-unit shows similar paint wear and is missing internal window glazing (photo 6). The rear coupler on the B-unit is present but appears bent and shows surface rust (photo 2). The undersides of both units show heavy dust, cobwebs, and signs of oxidation on the metal axles and motor components (photos 4 and 7). Mechanical functionality has not been tested.
