A Collection of American Flyer O-Gauge Model Train Locomotives and Parts - An assortment of vintage O-gauge model train components consisting of two steam-type locomotive shells and related internal mechanical assemblies. The collection includes a black plastic steam locomotive shell with the number 21160 printed in white on the cab side. The interior of this shell is molded with the characters FA-110967, AIG, and 1958. A second locomotive shell is constructed of die-cast metal and features the number 300 above AC on the cab side. This shell represents an Atlantic 4-4-2 wheel arrangement. The mechanical components include a motor assembly with a three-pole armature and exposed copper windings, a die-cast chassis featuring three drive wheels on one side with associated side rods, and a plastic bag containing several additional drive wheels with white rims. The lot also contains three black metal track accessories. One plate is a remote uncoupler with a yellow plastic component marked 706 REMOTE UNCOUPLER. Another plate is marked #704 MANUAL UNCOUPLER. The internal wiring is cloth-covered. , This collection is in parts-only or project condition and is completely disassembled. The die-cast 300 shell shows heavy surface dust and grime accumulation across the top and sides (photo 4). The plastic 21160 shell appears structurally intact but shows minor surface scuffs (photo 2). The die-cast chassis and metal wheels exhibit surface oxidation and rust, particularly on the axles and wheel rims (photo 1). The cloth-covered wiring is frayed and brittle in several locations (photo 5). The motor assemblies show accumulated dust and unknown functional status (photo 9). There is no original packaging present.
