Lionel 6026T O-Gauge Steam Engine Tender - A black molded plastic O-gauge steam engine coal tender. The body features simulated coal in the hopper and detailed rivet and panel line work throughout the casting. The sides of the tender are marked with a white printed serif text reading L I O N E L L I N E S. On the lower rear right side, there is a small rectangular molded area reading BUILT BY LIONEL. The underside of the black plastic chassis is stamped with a silver ink mark reading 6026T. The piece is equipped with two four-wheel plastic trucks and a rear operating metal knuckle coupler. The front of the tender features a molded ladder and detailing consistent with postwar era scout-type rolling stock. , The tender shows significant signs of age and long-term storage, including a thick layer of dust and grime visible across the top surfaces and within the coal bin (photo 1). There are scattered scuffs and surface scratches on the side panels (photo 3). The metal axles and rear coupler assembly show visible surface oxidation and rust (photo 4). The front attachment point is missing the coupling hardware or hook (photo 2). One of the rear truck assemblies appears misaligned from its original position (photo 4).
