A Collection of Lionel and O-Gauge Model Train Locomotive Shells and Chassis Parts - A collection of vintage O-gauge model train locomotive components, primarily constructed from die-cast metal, molded plastic, and stamped steel. The group includes several steam locomotive boiler shells and corresponding frames. One die-cast shell features the numerals 2035 painted in white on the cab sides, while a second similar shell has the number 2035 cast directly into the mold on the cab side. Other components feature partially visible cast-in numerals including 1666 and 224. One molded black plastic shell contains the interior text PA-11786. One metal frame has the name PHIL handwritten in white on the interior surface. The collection consists of non-functional parts; internal motors, wheel sets, electronic components, and external linkage rods are absent. The items are housed in a heavily worn orange and white cardboard storage box. , The collection is in parts-only condition with all shells being empty and lacking internal mechanisms. All items exhibit heavy accumulations of dust and grime (photo 1). Metal components show significant paint loss, chipping, and surface oxidation, most notably on the stamped baseplates (photo 3). Several shells have missing trim pieces including handrails and ornamental boiler front details (photo 4). One plastic locomotive shell has a broken front pilot section (photo 3). The cardboard storage box is in poor condition with structural tears and heavy adhesive tape repairs (photo 1).
