An Assortment of Vintage Model Train Internal Components and Maintenance Tools - A collection of vintage model railroad internal parts and service equipment, primarily focused on locomotive sound and smoke systems. The lot includes an electronic sound assembly featuring a gold-tone metal frame permanent magnet speaker wired to a printed circuit board. This board is populated with various electronic components including green capacitors, resistors, and an integrated circuit. Also present is a white plastic bracket assembly with a roller contact. The storage box for this unit features handwritten notations on a white flap reading B-UNIT, F3, WHISTLE, and 6-8059. The collection further contains a group of mechanical and lighting components housed in two separate containers. These include several molded plastic housings in red and black, characteristic of locomotive smoke units and internal light fixtures. One black plastic base retains a small clear incandescent bulb, while a red cylindrical plastic component features an integrated contact wire. Included with the parts is a specialized hand tool for electronic maintenance. This item is a black plastic IC (Integrated Circuit) extractor tool designed with a spring-loaded, diamond-shaped frame and metal pincers for chip removal. One side of the tool is molded with the patent mark PAT. 57676. The tool is accompanied by several sheets of folded paper, consisting of both white and manila-colored documents. , The items are in used, surplus condition suitable for repair or parts stock. The electronic whistle unit shows exposed copper wiring at the terminal connections and some accumulated dust on the speaker cone (photo 2). The plastic housings in the second box show various signs of age-related wear, including surface dust and minor scuffing to the plastic (photo 3). The functional status of the electronic circuit board, speaker, and incandescent bulb remains unverified. The IC extractor tool appears structurally intact with its metal pincers present (photo 1). Documentation shows typical creasing from being stored folded.
