Lionel The Polar Express Complete O Gauge Ready to Run Train Set 6-31960 - A sealed Lionel The Polar Express complete O gauge model train set, model number 6-31960. The set features a 2-8-4 Berkshire steam locomotive constructed with a die-cast metal body and frame, finished in black with the number 1225 on the cab. The locomotive is equipped with an operating headlight and a puffing smoke unit. The included coal tender features the text POLAR EXPRESS printed in gold lettering and houses an air whistle. The set contains three passenger cars finished in blue and maroon, featuring interior lighting and silhouettes of movie characters in the windows. One car is an observation car with a rounded deck and a decorated drumhead. Included accessories consist of four plastic movie action figures representing the Conductor, the Boy, Steamer, and Smokey, and a brass-toned Santa's Bell. The track system is Lionel Fastrack, composed of eight curved sections, three straight sections, and one terminal section, forming a 40 inch x 60 inch oval. Power is supplied by a CW-80 transformer. The original packaging is an orange and blue color-printed cardboard box featuring movie-themed graphics and technical specifications. The manufacturer name LIONEL is printed within a circular logo on multiple sides of the box. , The set is in sealed condition, encased in the original manufacturer clear plastic wrap. The cardboard box shows several instances of shelf wear, including blunting and creasing at the corners (photo 1). There is a significant tear and loss to the orange cardboard surface on the lower portion of the long side panel (photo 5 and photo 7). The clear plastic wrap is wrinkled throughout and exhibits several tears, most notably along the edges of the box (photo 1 and photo 5). The internal components are held in their original factory positions and have not been removed or tested for functionality due to the sealed state of the packaging.
