A Collection of Lionel O Gauge Model Train Locomotive Shells Rolling Stock and Parts - An assortment of vintage model train components, primarily consisting of O gauge shells and disassembled parts. The collection includes two die-cast metal Alco FA-1 locomotive shells. One is silver-painted and bears the printed black text UNION PACIFIC and the number 2023 on the sides, along with a small printed inscription BUILT BY LIONEL; the interior is embossed with the number 2023-3. The second locomotive shell is similarly finished, numbered 2033 on the exterior, and features the same UNION PACIFIC and BUILT BY LIONEL markings, with an internal embossed number 2023-3. Both locomotive noses feature a shield-shaped adhesive label with a red, white, and blue design reading UNION PACIFIC. Rolling stock components include a brown plastic passenger car shell with frosted window inserts, featuring gold-toned printed text reading PENNSYLVANIA, TIMES SQUARE, and the number 9514 on both sides. The brown plastic underside is embossed with LIONEL and MT. CLEMENS, MICH. Also present is a blue and yellow plastic bay window caboose shell with a printed logo for THE BRIDGE LINE and text reading D & H, 9355, and BLT 1-80 LIONEL. A black plastic operating log dump flatcar body is marked 3461 LIONELLINES and retains an underside solenoid mechanism. A silver-painted metal tank car is mounted on a metal chassis with a faint printed inscription reading MOTOR OIL. The lot also contains various three-rail O gauge track components, including straight sections and two 90-degree crossover sections. Mechanical parts include two disassembled motor units with visible copper windings and metal worm gears, various metal chassis frames with attached trucks and couplers, a black metal uncoupling track section with a yellow plastic button, and miscellaneous wiring. , The collection is in a heavily used and incomplete state, suitable for parts or restoration. Both silver Union Pacific locomotive shells exhibit significant surface oxidation, scratches, and extensive paint loss, particularly on the roof sections (photos 1, 14, 18). The blue and yellow D&H caboose shell has a large portion of the roof walk broken and missing at one end (photo 24). The Pennsylvania passenger car is a shell only, missing its entire truck and wheel assembly (photo 33). The silver tank car shows heavy surface pitting, oxidation, and general wear to the finish on both the tank and the chassis (photo 28). Significant rust and corrosion are visible on the metal wheels, axles, and track rails throughout the lot (photos 4, 31, 35). Mechanical components, including the motors and solenoids, are loose and untested. All items exhibit a layer of heavy dust and dirt (photo 1).
