The top of the main unit features a white printed graphic of railroad tracks overlaid with the stylized model name ”X-6000” and the manufacturer name ”megatech” in lowercase font. The corner is marked with the letters ”G HO N Z” indicating its multi-gauge compatibility. The side of the unit includes a built-in cooling fan, a red indicator light, and a rotary selector knob labeled ”SELECT PROPER POWER RANGE FOR YOUR TRAIN GAUGE” with positions for G, HO, and N/Z scales. The tethered walk-around controller features a large ”SPEED” dial, toggle switches for ”BRAKE” and ”MOMENTUM” (both with Off/On positions), a ”DIRECTION” switch, and a blue ”RATE” adjustment knob.
