A Collection of Vintage O Gauge Model Railroad Trackside Accessories and Controls - This collection consists of several vintage O gauge model railroad layout accessories and an electrical control component. The group includes a solenoid-operated semaphore, a position light signal, a railroad crossing signal, and a track contactor. The semaphore signal features a green painted metal housing with an embossed metal plate on the rear reading 82N AUTOMATIC SEMAPHORE with an adjustment screw labeled FAST and SLOW. The base of this piece is also embossed with characters reading made in china. It is constructed with a metal mast and ladder, a black plastic lamp housing, and a red plastic semaphore blade. The position light signal is constructed of black plastic with a round signal head containing seven yellow lenses. The base is embossed with characters reading made in china. The railroad crossing signal features a cast metal base and mast with plastic crossbuck signs reading RAILROAD CROSSING. Centered below the crossbuck is a plastic sign reading STOP. It features two screw terminals and a green plastic light housing on one end. , The accessories show varying degrees of wear consistent with age and use. The railroad crossing signal exhibits significant surface oxidation and rust on the metal mast, and the plastic crossbuck signs show yellowing and spotting (photo 2). The green paint on the 82N semaphore base remains largely intact but shows minor scuffs and a layer of dust (photo 7). The wires on the 82N semaphore are cut and frayed at the base (photo 8). The position light signal and crossing signal are covered in a noticeable layer of dust (photos 1 and 5). The track contactor is in relatively clean condition with bright metal components (photo 4).
