Atlas O Industrial Rail Reading 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive and Tender 351 - A 3-rail O-gauge model steam locomotive and matching tender of primarily plastic construction with die-cast metal wheels, side rods, and chassis components. The locomotive features a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement and is finished in satin black. The cab sides are printed with the number 351 in yellow within a yellow border. The front boiler plate also bears the number 351 in yellow. The tender is finished in matching black with yellow Reading lettering on both sides and the number 351 on the rear panel. The underside of the locomotive bears an embossed mark reading ATLAS O, LLC and Made in China. The underside of the tender is marked with white print reading ATLAS O, LLC and Made in China. The locomotive is equipped with an electric motor and features pick-up rollers for center-rail power, with a green circuit board visible through the rear truck area. Included are two small plastic bags containing additional hardware: one bag holds a black rectangular plate, a red plastic component, and four small screws; the second bag contains several brass-toned metal contacts labeled 380-50 in black ink. , The set is in good overall condition with some visible signs of storage. Visible oxidation and surface rust are present on the metal axles and the underside of the front pilot truck (photo 7). The tender wheels also exhibit spots of surface oxidation (photo 12). The satin black finish shows an accumulation of surface dust, fibers, and small debris across the boiler and tender (photos 2, 6, and 10). Minor paint wear is visible along the edges of the tender (photo 11). The electrical wiring between the engine and tender appears intact but is loose. The item is untested.
