Olympic Waterproof Sportsman Wristwatch with Expansion Bracelet - This vintage wristwatch features a circular stainless steel case back with a chrome or nickel-plated mid-case. The black dial is signed Olympic and Waterproof in printed white uppercase lettering below the 12 o'clock position. The dial layout includes Arabic numeral hour markers that show darkened coloration, and a sub-seconds track at the 6 o'clock position. A sub-seconds hand is visible within the circular track. The primary hands have center cut-outs that originally contained luminescent material. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel expansion bracelet featuring textured, chevron-patterned links. The screw-down case back is inscribed with the text Wearever Sportsman in the center, and the perimeter is marked I.D. Watch Case Co. and Stainless Steel Back. The interior of the bracelet end links are stamped Stainless. The watch is a manual wind mechanical movement. Case Diameter: 30 mm. The case shows significant wear and pitting, particularly on the lugs and bezel where the base metal is exposed through the plating (photo 1). The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and scuffed across the entire surface, obscuring the dial (photo 2). The luminescent material on the Arabic numerals and the hour hand is darkened, brittle, and partially missing (photo 2). The crown shows heavy brassing and wear to the knurled edges (photo 4). The expansion bracelet shows visible stretching and slight deformation of the links (photo 6). The case back has numerous surface scratches from use (photo 5). The watch is in running condition.
