Westclox World Time Diver Wristwatch - This vintage Westclox wristwatch features a 17-jewel manual wind movement, identified by the printed white text Westclox and 17 Jewels on the black dial. The dial is characterized by oversized luminous Arabic numerals at the even hours and corresponding rectangular indices at the odd hours. A white printed mark reads France at the 6 o'clock position. The watch is equipped with a rotating world time bezel featuring multiple global city names, including Santiago, Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro, Tokio, Azores, Sydney, Island, Caroline I., Wellington, London, Aleutian I., Paris-Rome, Johannesburg, Honolulu, Bagdad, Skagway, Teheran, S. Francisco, Denver, Chicago-Mexico, Calcutta, and New-York. The case consists of a base metal upper with a screw-down stainless steel case back. The case back is struck with a central diver graphic and the name Westclox, surrounded by the stamped text Stainless Steel Back and Waterproof Tested 330 Feet. The watch is presented without a strap or bracelet. Diameter: 36 mm (excluding crown tube). The watch is in non-running condition and requires a replacement crown and stem (photo 3). The chrome plating on the case shows significant wear, pitting, and loss of finish, particularly evident on the underside of the lugs and around the crown tube (photo 3, 5). The rotating bezel exhibits paint loss and abrasions along its outer edge (photo 1). The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and shows internal crazing throughout the surface (photo 2). The luminous material on the dial and hands has aged to a dark greenish-yellow patina, and the hands show visible oxidation (photo 1). The stainless steel case back has numerous surface scratches and an area of adhesive residue (photo 4).
