La Salle Westclox Automatic Chrome and Stainless Steel Men's Watch - A Swiss-made Westclox La Salle men's wrist watch featuring an automatic mechanical movement. The circular champagne-colored dial displays a printed black script brand name LaSalle below the 12 o'clock position, accompanied by a circular graphic device. The dial is further marked AUTOMATIC above the 6 o'clock position and SWISS at the very bottom edge. It features applied gold-tone Arabic numerals at the even hours and faceted dart indices at the odd hours. The time is indicated by dauphine-style hour and minute hands and a slender center seconds hand. The watch case is constructed with a chrome-plated bezel and a screw-down stainless steel case back. The case back is struck with the centered text WESTCLOX, WATERPROOF, S. STEEL BACK, and CHROME BEZEL. The watch head is presented without a strap or spring bars, and the watch runs. Diameter: 31 mm. The watch shows significant wear consistent with age and use. The chrome-plated bezel and lugs exhibit heavy pitting, oxidation, and extensive loss of plating, particularly visible along the sides and underside of the lugs (Photos 3, 5, 6, and 7). The stainless steel case back shows a dense network of fine scratches and scuffs (Photo 4). The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and shows fine crazing across the surface (Photo 1). The dial has developed a pronounced yellowish patina with widespread dark spotting or freckling throughout (Photo 2). The hands show visible oxidation and surface tarnishing (Photo 1). The crown is present and appears intact, though the case shows accumulated grime around the seams and crown tube (Photo 5).
