Crawford Swiss 17 Jewel Stainless Steel Manual Wind Wristwatch - A mid-century Swiss mechanical wristwatch featuring a stainless steel case and a silver-tone expansion bracelet. The aged silver-tone dial features luminescent Arabic numerals, a railroad-style outer minute track with five-minute intervals, and a center sweep seconds hand with a red pointer tip. The dial is printed with the cursive name Crawford below the 12 o'clock position and reads INCABLOC JEWELS above the 6 o'clock position. The exterior case back is stamped with several inscriptions in a circular orientation, including WATER RESISTANT, SWISS MADE, ANTIMAGNETIC, INCABLOC, and STAINLESS STEEL. The center of the case back is struck with the number 6189. The interior case back is stamped MARCEL BENOIT SA. The manual-wind movement is visible and is engraved SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS, CRAWFORD WATCH CORP., UNADJUSTED, and SWISS. The balance bridge is stamped with the three-letter Swiss import code COC. The expansion-link bracelet features a link stamped on the underside with the name KREISLER. The watch is in running condition. Case diameter: 29mm (excluding crown) Lug-to-lug: 36mm. The watch is in fair vintage condition. The dial shows significant heavy oxidation, spotting, and discoloration across the entire surface (photo 1). The crystal exhibits numerous surface scratches and scuffing (photo 11). The stainless steel case shows moderate scratching and scuffing consistent with age and use, with visible residue buildup around the case back threading and lugs (photo 6). The movement appears clean and intact with minor oxidation visible on the interior case rim (photo 8). The expansion bracelet is broken and separated at one link join (photo 10).
