Vintage Casio Casiotron X-1R Stainless Steel Digital Quartz Wristwatch - A vintage Japanese digital quartz wristwatch featuring a stainless steel case with a mix of polished and brushed finishes. The blue-toned dial surround is printed with function labels including 0 STOP WATCH, 1 COUNTER, 2 WORLD TIME, and 3 TIME MEMORY. The LCD display includes programmed abbreviations for world cities: TYO, SFO, CHI, NYC, LON, and PAR. The watch is equipped with two push-buttons on the right side of the case and is fitted with its original integrated stainless steel link bracelet featuring a fold-over clasp. The screw-down case back includes a separate, dedicated circular battery hatch. The case back is struck with the manufacturer's name CASIO and model name CASIOTRON. It also features the model reference X-1R, the designation R 17, and is marked STAINLESS STEEL JAPAN C with the serial number 64544. The fold-over clasp is embossed with the CASIO name in a rectangular cartouche, and the interior of the bracelet is stamped STAINLESS STEEL. The bottom of the dial face is printed with 20AB19 JAPAN. Case width: 1.5 inches. The watch is in non-functional condition and does not run. The LCD display shows significant age-related degradation, with dark bleeding across the upper and central sections and a horizontal line through the day-of-week indicators (photo 2). The crystal and case exhibit heavy surface wear, including numerous deep scratches, scuffs, and nicks consistent with extensive use (photo 1). The stainless steel bracelet shows surface scratching throughout (photo 5). The battery hatch on the case back displays significant marring, gouging, and metal loss, likely from the use of improper tools (photo 7). The interior battery compartment shows visible green oxidation and corrosion on the contact points (photo 8).
