Warwick Watch Co. Swiss Art Deco Mechanical Wristwatch Movement and Case - A vintage Swiss-made Art Deco manual wind wristwatch. The movement is visible and bears the following printed and engraved markings: Swiss, 3 Three Adjs, 10 S., Warwick W. Co., and Fifteen 15 Jewels. The movement is mounted to a shaped dial plate with an extremely heavy oxidized gold-toned surface. The dial features raised Arabic numerals and a single remaining hour hand. The octagonal case is constructed of a silver-toned metal with elaborate foliate and scroll engraving to the side bands. The hinged front bezel is separated from the case body. The interior of the case is marked Swiss Case and carries the serial number 21405. The exterior case back is engraved with a block-letter monogram A.E.E. Hand-scratched jeweler service marks are present on the interior case back but are not clearly legible. One lug retains a fragment of an old leather strap and a fixed spring bar. Based on the provided scale, the case measures approximately 22mm in width excluding the crown and 28mm in length including the lugs. Case width: 22mm Case length: 28mm. The item is in poor, non-functional condition and does not run. The movement shows significant oxidation and rust, particularly to the balance wheel and regulator (photo 9). The winding stem and crown are present but the movement is unresponsive. The dial plate is heavily damaged with total loss of finish and extreme oxidation (photo 1). The minute hand and crystal are missing. The hour hand is heavily tarnished. The case shows deep scratches, tarnishing, and significant wear to the engraved details (photo 4). The front bezel is detached from the case body though the hinge components are present (photo 10). The leather strap is missing with only small fragments remaining. Sold for parts or restoration only.
