Bulova Fifth Avenue Velvet and Metal Watch Presentation Box - A vintage watch presentation box featuring a domed rectangular lid and an Art Deco style metal base. The exterior is upholstered in a dark plum velvet fabric. The base is constructed of dark-toned metal featuring tiered, ribbed feet at each corner. The interior of the lid is lined with red satin featuring a gold-toned printed mark. The mark consists of a first line reading BULOVA in block capitals; a second line in cursive script reading Fifth Avenue; and a third line in block capitals reading NEW YORK. The interior base contains a rectangular recessed compartment lined in a dark, textured fabric. Across the length of the base, the box measures approximately 5 inches. The exterior velvet shows significant signs of age and use, including overall crushing of the pile, fiber loss, and light surface soiling (photos 1, 3, 4, 5). The metal base exhibits general wear to the finish and surface tarnish, particularly visible at the corner feet (photos 2, 4, 5). The interior red satin lining shows creases and wear consistent with age (photo 2). The underside of the base shows significant wear and loss to the red paper or leatherette covering (photo 6).
