Vintage Swiss Nassis Base Metal Chronograph Wristwatch For Parts - A vintage Swiss-made base metal manual-wind chronograph wristwatch intended for parts. The circular off-white dial features multiple printed scales, including an outer red telemeter scale reading TELEMETRE 1KM and an inner black spiral tachymeter scale marked BASE 1000. The dial is printed with the name NASSIS followed by JEWELLED and ANTIMAGNETIC, with SWISS MADE at the bottom edge. It features luminous-filled Arabic numeral hour markers and three center-mounted hands: a red-painted chronograph seconds hand and luminous-filled hour and minute hands. The case is constructed of base metal with a chrome-colored finish and features two rectangular pushers on the right side. The case back is impressed with an illegible rectangular stamp that appears to read FONTE followed by several unreadable characters. The watch measures approximately 1.25 inches across the case, excluding the pushers. The watch is in poor, heavily damaged condition and is offered for parts only. The base metal case exhibits severe metal fatigue, corrosion, and plating loss throughout. There is a large, jagged hole in the side of the case near the top pusher (photo 3, photo 4). The winding crown and stem are missing, leaving an open aperture on the side of the case (photo 6). The crystal is heavily scratched, clouded, and shows significant surface wear (photo 1, photo 2). The dial shows overall discoloration, spotting, and accumulated dust (photo 2). The luminous material on the hands is aged, darkened, and partially missing (photo 1). The metal lugs and spring bars show heavy oxidation and surface grime (photo 5).
