Vintage Hamilton Clamshell Watch Presentation Box - A vintage rectangular clamshell watch presentation box featuring a metal-framed structure with a textured blue faux-leather or paper exterior. The lid exterior is decorated with a silver-tone foil embossed stylized logo in the form of a cross-barred H. The interior of the lid is lined with cream-colored satin, bearing a gold-tone printed mark reading HAMILTON in block lettering. Below the brand name is a printed list of technical specifications: • LIFETIME MAINSPRING, • SHOCK-RESISTANT, • ANTI-MAGNETIC, and • 17 JEWELS. The base contains a rectangular red velvet-covered watch pad. The box is constructed with a metal piano hinge at the rear. Width: Approximately 4.5 inches (measured across the widest point of the lid). The box is in fair vintage condition. The blue exterior covering shows significant surface scuffing and loss of finish, with multiple small white nicks or flea bites visible across the top and sides (photos 3, 4, 5, 6). The rear metal hinge displays visible surface rust and oxidation (photo 5). Internally, the cream satin lining is frayed and has detached from the frame on the right side of the hinge area (photos 1, 2). The red velvet pad shows minor surface lint (photo 1). The gold-tone foil logo on the lid shows light wear to the finish (photo 3).
