Seiko Quartz Ladies Wristwatch with Blue Dial and Mesh Bracelet - A Japanese ladies wristwatch featuring a circular blue sunburst dial with applied baton hour markers and two hands. The dial is marked SEIKO QUARTZ and JAPAN 16-0740R at the base. The watch is constructed with a base metal top and a stainless steel case back. The case back is stamped with BASE METAL TOP ST. STEEL BACK, a serial number 7N3105, and a reference number 16-5209. The interior of the case back is marked SEIKO DAINISEIKOSHA CO., LTD. JAPAN R above a Daini Seikosha logo. The watch contains a five-jewel quartz movement, which requires a battery. The movement is engraved SEIKO TIME CORP. 16A FIVE 5 JEWELS UNADJUSTED JAPAN. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel mesh bracelet and a fold-over clasp with a safety chain. The clasp is stamped SEIKO ST. STEEL JAPAN M. The bracelet links are marked D0509-A. According to the visible ruler, the watch case measures approximately 0.75 inches in diameter. The watch dial and crystal exhibit fine surface scratches and minor debris visible under magnification (photo 2). Significant green oxidation and surface grime are present on the interior of the case and around the movement housing (photos 9, 10, and 11). The base metal case shows plating wear and scratches consistent with use (photo 1). The stainless steel case back and bracelet clasp display numerous surface scratches (photos 7 and 8). The watch movement is currently non-functional and requires a battery.
