Benrus Citation Quartz Wristwatch with Day-Date and Expansion Bracelet - A vintage men's wristwatch featuring a circular champagne sunburst dial. The dial displays applied silver-tone baton hour markers with Arabic numerals at the 12, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, and a day-date window at 3 o'clock. The dial is printed with the name BENRUS, QUARTZ, three stars, and CITATION. It features silver-tone dauphine hands and a central sweep seconds hand. The case consists of a base metal bezel with a stainless steel screw-down back. The exterior case back is stamped STAINLESS STEEL BACK, BASE METAL BEZEL, and BENRUS. The interior case back is stamped BENRUS WATCH CO. INC., HONG KONG, and the reference number V573. The internal quartz movement is stamped BENRUS WATCH CO. Y573A and JAPAN UNADJUSTED TWO 2 JEWELS. The watch is fitted with a silver-tone stainless steel expansion-link stretch bracelet. Based on the accompanying ruler, the case diameter is approximately 35mm excluding the crown. The watch is in non-running condition and needs battery. The dial shows significant oxidation, spotting, and greenish discoloration, particularly around the edges and center. The acrylic crystal exhibits numerous surface scratches and scuffs across its entirety. The metal case and bezel show widespread wear, pitting, and loss of plating, especially on the undersides of the lugs. The expansion bracelet appears intact but shows surface wear and accumulated grime between the links. The movement appears clean but remains untested for functionality.
