Bulova Accutron Quartz Wristwatch with Linen Dial and Stainless Steel Expansion Band - A Swiss-made Bulova Accutron quartz wristwatch featuring a circular base metal case and a stainless steel expansion band. The white dial is finished with a textured linen pattern and features black Arabic numerals. The dial is printed below the 12 o'clock position with the name BULOVA ACCUTRON and the company's tuning fork logo. Above the 6 o'clock position, the dial is printed with the word QUARTZ, and the bottom edge is marked - T SWISS T -. The case back is stamped with the name BULOVA and the date code N8, signifying a production year of 1978. Additional stamps on the case back include WATER RESISTANT, STAINLESS STEEL BACK, and BASE METAL BEZEL. The interior of the case back is mechanically engraved with the number 3892 and instructions reading USE BULOVA 242 CELL / INSTALL ENGRAVED SIDE UP. The movement is marked SWISS / UNADJUSTED / NO-0-JEWELS and BULOVA, alongside the tuning fork logo and the codes 7-8 and B. This timepiece needs battery for operation. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel expansion band, which is stamped STAINLESS on the interior of the end links. The case diameter is approximately 34mm across the widest point, excluding the crown. The watch shows significant signs of age and wear. The dial exhibits heavy oxidation, discoloration, and loss of finish, most prominently between the 9 and 12 o'clock positions (photo 2). The crystal has numerous fine scratches across the surface (photo 1). The base metal bezel shows extensive wear to the plating, with pitting and corrosion visible around the entire circumference (photo 1). There is a significant buildup of dirt and green verdigris around the lugs, the case seams, and the crown (photo 5). The movement is currently not running and needs battery; its functional status is otherwise unknown. The stainless steel expansion band shows surface scratches and accumulated debris between the links (photo 3).
