Vintage Tissot Seventeen Jewel Manual Wind Watch Movement and Dial - A vintage Swiss manual wind watch movement and dial assembly. The circular silver-tone dial features a sunburst finish with applied gold-tone baton hour markers and two gold-tone alpha-style hands. A printed black vintage script logo reading Tissot is positioned below the twelve o'clock marker, and the word SWISS is printed at the six o'clock position. The mechanical movement is finished in a copper-tone plating and features seventeen jewels. Several markings are engraved on the bridges, including SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS, UNADJUSTED SWISS, and CHs TISSOT & FILS. A serial number 4495175 is stamped on the main bridge. The letters TWA are engraved near the balance wheel assembly. The movement includes a winding stem and a gold-tone knurled crown. This is an incomplete assembly lacking its original case and strap. Dial diameter: 22 mm. The dial shows significant environmental damage, including heavy spotting, oxidation, and foxing across the entire surface (photo 1). The gold-tone hands and applied hour markers exhibit surface oxidation (photo 2). The movement shows visible grime and tarnish on the copper-toned bridges (photo 3). There is green verdigris oxidation visible on the winding crown and stem (photo 1). The movement is missing its case, crystal, and strap. The operational status is unknown, and the piece is sold as-is for parts or restoration.
