Kunz, MD and Asher J. Finkel, MD. This hardcover reference volume is an octavo bound in blue textured buckram. The spine features gold-toned lettering and a printed circular device containing the AMA caduceus logo with the text AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION. The front cover bears an identical logo applied via blind-stamping. The title page identifies the publisher as RANDOM HOUSE NEW YORK and repeats the editors' names and the AMA logo. The copyright page states Copyright 1987 by Random House, Inc. and notes publication in the United States by Random House, Inc., New York. The front free endpaper bears a handwritten ink inscription reading CARL H. SCULLIN MAR 1987. The interior is profusely illustrated with anatomical diagrams, medical illustrations in both two-color and full-color, and diagnostic flowcharts. The volume is in fair to good condition. There is a significant vertical tear and loss to the buckram at the head of the spine (photo 1, 2). The corners of the boards show fraying and exposure of the underlying card (photo 2). The blue cloth covers exhibit significant spotting, surface staining, and localized discoloration (photo 1, 3). Internally, the pages appear clean and free of significant foxing or marking, though there is a handwritten ownership inscription on the front free endpaper (photo 4). No dust jacket is present.
