20th Century Katya 'Stylized Bird' (Signed) - A 20th-century original painting on paper executed in an opaque medium, likely gouache or tempera. The composition depicts a whimsical, stylized blue bird in profile, facing right. The bird features a light blue body, a vibrant orange beak, and a dark blue wing rendered with visible brushstrokes and fine-line detailing to suggest plumage. A crest of dark, curled feathers with small circular motifs at the tips adorns the head, and the tail is composed of a light blue teardrop shape with a dark blue chevron pattern. The subject is set against a solid, muted grayish-blue background. A signature in small, dark block letters reading KATYA is painted at the lower right edge of the bird's tail. The artwork is presented in a white mat under glass, housed in a thin, silver-toned metal frame with a cardboard backing and a corded hanging wire. The matted opening measures approximately 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. The exterior frame dimensions are approximately 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. The artwork appears to be in good overall condition.
