Two Piece Billet Aluminum Transfer Case Adapter Housing and Steel Drive Gear for Atlas Transfer Case - This lot consists of an aftermarket automotive transmission assembly comprising a machined billet aluminum adapter housing and a corresponding steel drive gear. The housing features a D-shaped profile with a deep central cavity and a mounting flange with multiple pre-drilled bolt holes. The exterior face of the aluminum housing bears an incised mark in block capital letters reading ATLAS. A ball bearing is pressed into the center of the housing and is secured by a metal snap ring. The accompanying steel drive gear is designed with twenty-five external teeth and a splined internal bore to fit onto a central shaft. Two small threaded holes are positioned on the face of the gear. This component is compatible with the Atlas line of transfer cases produced by Advance Adapters, typically used in high-performance off-road and rock crawling vehicle applications. The aluminum housing is in used condition with visible surface scratches, handling marks, and minor scuffing across the machined surfaces (photo 4). The internal bearing and snap ring appear intact and correctly seated (photo 2). The steel drive gear shows significant and heavy surface oxidation and rust across the entirety of its exterior surfaces and teeth (photo 3). The internal splines of the gear show less oxidation but contain signs of previous grease and installation (photo 3). No cracks or structural failures are visible in the aluminum casing.
