A Pair of Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Saddlebags - This pair of hard-shell motorcycle saddlebags is manufactured by Harley-Davidson. The bags are constructed from black HDPE plastic with a leather-textured vinyl exterior. The top-opening lids are secured by two adjustable straps featuring chrome-finished buckles embossed with a stylized eagle and shield logo containing the characters HD. The design incorporates basketweave-patterned vinyl side panels and chrome-plated horizontal-slat trim. The interior mounting face of each bag is embossed with a block letter inscription reading HARLEY-DAVIDSON and MADE IN U.S.A. below a bar and shield logo. Further embossed markings include the numeric code 07396, a recycling symbol with the characters HDPE, and a circular molded date stamp. The saddlebags exhibit signs of use including surface scuffs and scratches to the vinyl and plastic exterior (photo 1, 6). The chrome-plated buckles and trim show minor surface pitting (photo 7). Edge wear and creasing are visible on the vinyl lid flaps (photo 4). One bag has a vertical seam on the interior mounting panel consistent with a plastic weld repair (photo 3, 8). Surface dust and road debris are present in the seams and textured areas (photo 1).
