One Motorcycle Transmission Housing for Softail Models - A single motorcycle transmission housing designed for a Softail model vehicle. The cast aluminum component features an integrated rear mounting point and is configured for a 5-speed transmission system. The interior and exterior surfaces exhibit various machined ports, threaded mounting holes, and bearing recesses. A mainshaft bearing remains installed within the primary cavity. A white adhesive label on the accompanying cardboard box features handwritten text in black marker reading TRANNY HOUSIN SOFTAIL. Small embossed characters and symbols are present on both the interior and exterior of the metal casting, but these marks are not legible and do not identify a specific manufacturer. The housing is in used condition with a heavy accumulation of grease, oil residue, and road grime across all surfaces (Photos 2, 3, 4). Significant white aluminum oxidation and surface corrosion are visible throughout the casting (Photo 4). Machined mating surfaces show wear consistent with prior installation (Photo 2). Several oil seals and a mainshaft bearing remain in place, though their functional state is not verified. All threaded holes require inspection for potential stripping or damage.
